FEATURES

The FC130A is a microprocessor-controlled frequency counter that measures frequency, period, and rate per minute (RPM) over an exceptional 0.01Hz to 1.3GHz range. The FC130A uses the reciprocal counting method to provide fast, high-resolution readings; e.g., 10nHz for a 10Hz signal input. Standard features include an 8-digit LED measurement readout with floating point and overflow indication, 10mV input sensitivity (typical), continuously variable gate time selection, switchable AC or DC input coupling, a built-in self-diagnostic routine, and a switchable X20 attenuator and low pass input filter.

The FC130A measures the period of a function from 8ns to as high as 100 seconds in duration. The RPM feature enables the user to accurately measure the rate per minute from as low as 0.6 RPM to as high as 7200 million RPM. Two separate channels are used to achieve broad microprocessor-controlled frequency ranges. Channel A covers frequency measurements from 0.01Hz to 120MHz, and Channel B covers from 50MHz to 1.3GHz.

Channel A input is protected to 250Vp-p (AC+DC) without attenuation or 500Vp-p (AC+DC) with the attenuator in use.
