The meters are unusuallyrugged and reliable ineveryday heavy useapplications. Each meter ismade using waterproofconstruction to prevent dirt,grime and moisture from entering the case and causinginaccurate readings or damaging shorts.
They are built of tough,fire-retardant thermoplasticresistant to grease andchemical spills, with allsensitive components shock-mounted for a drop resistantto at least eight feet.

Every meter in the HD line has an extended voltagemeasurement capability of1500 V dc and 1000 V ac,unmatched by any other line of digital multimeters. Theextended voltage ranges canwithstand transients up to 6 kV.
