NEMA 4X Sealed Polycarbonate and ABS Enclosures
These Polycarbonate and high impact ABS molded enclosures meet NEMA 4X specifications and are ideal for use in the electrical and electronic industries.
Available in a variety of sizes, these molded enclosures are offered in three different versions:
- Style 1 Light gray polycarbonate body and cover.
- Style 2 Light gray polycarbonate body and clear polycarbonate cover.
- Style 3 Dark gray ABS body and cover.
Polycarbonate, an engineering thermoplastic, features good electrical insulation and heat resistance. The high impact ABS material is easily drilled and punched. These enclosures are ideal for circuit enclosures and junction boxes.
Design Features:
- Designed to IP 65 of IEC 529 and NEMA 4X.
- Wall mounting holes and cover attaching screws are outside the sealing area, thus preventing the ingress of moisture and dust.
- Most models have internal guide slots for mounting PCB assemblies vertically.
- Internal bosses allow for the mounting of PCBs horizontally or for connection of terminals, etc., into threaded brass inserts (except PN-1320).
- Cover screws are M-4 stainless steel, non-magnetic and fasten to threaded brass inserts.
- The polycarbonate material has an operating temperature of -40 degrees C to +100 degrees C.
- ABS material has an operating temperature of -20 degrees C to +80 degrees C.
