Diode Rectifiers Basic Information
C&H Technology specializes in high current, high voltage industrial diode rectifiers with ratings from 10 to 10,000 Amps and 100 to 4,500 Volts Applications include: welding, alternator, generator, battery charger, electro-plating, motor drive, and traction markets.
A diode rectifier or diode is a semiconductor that has two electrodes (anode and cathode) that pass electrical current in one direction. A diode rectifier is used to rectify AC (alternating current) into DC (direct current). A typical semiconductor diode has a very low forward resistance (0.5 to 1.5 volts) and a reverse current of a few milliamps when blocking several hundred volts.
